I received my master's degree at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I then trained at the Maple Counseling Center in psychodynamic psychotherapy with individuals and couples. I have also worked at TeenLine, a teen crisis hotline dealing with a variety of issues such as suicide, substance abuse, child abuse, and eating disorders. I then completed the psychoanalytic psychotherapy program at the Psychoanalytic Center of California and continue to take workshops and trainings in the field of psychodynamic work.

I am trained in EMDR therapy and use it in addition to psychodynamic therapy for clients with complex trauma. I believe that each client is a unique individual with their own needs and I tailor my interventions and skills to fit the needs of the client.

I provide therapy in Farsi as well as English and work with families and individuals on multicultural and acculturation issues. I offer phone consultations as well as video sessions for those in need.
