I received my bachelor's degree in pharmacological chemistry from the University of California, San Diego and my master's degree at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I trained for three years at the Maple Counseling Center in psychodynamic psychotherapy with individuals and couples. I also worked at TeenLine, a teen crisis hotline dealing with a variety of issues such as suicide, substance abuse, child abuse, and eating disorders. I have also completed the psychoanalytic psychotherapy program at the Psychoanalytic Center of California.

I am trained in EMDR therapy and use it in addition to psychodynamic therapy for clients with complex trauma. I believe that each client is a unique individual with their own needs and I tailor my interventions and skills to fit the needs of the client.

I provide therapy in Farsi as well as English and work with families and individuals on multicultural and acculturation issues. I offer phone consultations as well as video sessions for those in need.
